Biomass and Fish Behaviour

Improving biomass measurements and studying fish behaviour

Biomass and Fish Behaviour

CMR has for a long time been involved in making fisheries more predictable and accountable by contributing to research and by developing new technology. With the growth of aquaculture we have also contributed to monitoring of fish welfare, as well as handling and transportation.

  • Fish welfare - adapting human medical technology for use on fish, as well as measuring stress level and the fish habitat levels of O2, CO2, H2O2 and more
  • Equipment for biomass measurement in open pen aquaculture
  • Fish Flow Meter - non-intrusive biomass measurement in a flow of seawater
  • Fishbase - a database of fish geometry and correlation with weight for many species including variations over the seasons and geographical area

CMR is actively seeking cooperation with industry, government and research worldwide. We want to help facilitate sustainable and profitable operations for harvesting the marine ecosystem.
