Uncertainty analysis - Climate gas emissions

CMR provides 3rd party uncertainty analysis of fiscal metering systems and climate gas emission monitoring systems, based on theoretical as well as practical in-depth instrument technology knowledge and expertise within instrument uncertainty analysis.

Climate gas metering system surveys involving:

  • Flare gas
  • Fuel gas
  • Flue gas
  • Diesel
  • VOC and NMVOC for example from tanker loading
  • Emissions from ships
  • Other emissions to air (NOx, SO2, etc.)
  • Emissions to water

The uncertainty evaluation of the metering systems also involves guidance and recommendations on how to meet the requirements for the different metering systems. In collaboration with both industry and authorities, CMR is involved in evaluation of cost effective metering system surveys for climate gas emissions, and has contributed to handbooks and online uncertainty calculation tools available on the Norwegian Society for Oil and Gas Measurement websites.

CMR can also provide services related to the monitoring, reporting and verification of climate gas emissions from maritime transport.
