Model for CO2 emission factor for flare gas
CMR developed in close collaboration with Statoil the CO2 emission factor program for flare gas emissions.
The CO2 emission factor program for flare gas emissions was initiated in 2009. The model is and has been in development to meet the national emission requirements and the needs of the industry. A series of oil companies in the Norwegian sector have taken the model in use, and the model is commonly referred to as the CMR method. The method is accepted for use by the Norwegian Environmental Agency.
CMR provides operator specific workshops in use of the model, and may provide quality assurance and guidance related to the estimation of CO2 emission factor from flare gas.
