Transducer for down-hole ultrasonic transit time measurements
A HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) transducer has been developed for down-hole ultrasonic transit time measurements.
The transducer is designed for transit time measurements in fluid/fluid or fluid/gas systems under High Pressure 690 Barg (10.000 psi) and High Temperature, maximum 150°C (300 °F). The minimum measurable time interval is 60µsec, limited by ringing. The transducer is based on a non-pressure compensated design, and the transducer is oil-filled. The transducer effect is achieved using a piezoelectric element operating around 5 MHz.
