CMR is developing a sensor system for measurement of water salinity and water-in-liquid ratio (WLR) in multiphase and wetgas flow.

CMR’s competence within high-frequency electromagnetic sensor technology is applied to develop a sensor system for WLR and conductivity measurement. These are vital parameters used for process control, flow assurance purposes and flow rate measurements in the oil- and gas-industry.

The sensor system has been tested extensively for conductivity and WLR measurements in CMR’s flow loop, and has also been verified in high-pressure flow loops. The sensor system is also a central component in CMR’s research on hydrate formation monitoring in multiphase and wet-gas flow.
