CMR will attend the Japan Norway Arctic Science Week 2016, taking place between 30 May and 3 June.
Renewable Energy is an important research area at CMR. CMR possesses an array of expertise that extends across the value chain for renewable energy.
CMR has been focusing on renewable energy for a number of years, based our extensive expertise and experience within such industries as oil & gas, the maritime sector and space.
Currently our main focus areas are:
- Offshore Wind
- Geothermal Energy
- CO2 storage
- Energy systems
The common denominator for all our activities is our determination to provide our customers and partners with practical, economically sound and scientificaly solid solutions and services.
CMR is targeting areas where our knowledge could contribute to better solutions while being aware that cost reduction is a critical issue.
CMR is the host for the two Centres for environmental friendly Energy Research, Subsurface CO2 storage- Critical Elements and Superior Strategy (SUCCESS) and Norwegian Centre for Offshore Wind Energy (NORCOWE). We also host Norwegian Center for Geothermal Energy Research (CGER). We are an active member in the Bergen Næringsråd Ressursgruppe Fornybar Energi.
